Consolidated Phoenix glass beige Clear Frosted Glass Love Birds Vase 6 3/8 inch

A sweet Love Bird and floral design flows around this vintage light beige finished cameo art glass vase by the Phoenix Glass co. Raised frosted imagery of two birds sitting on a branch next to each other decorate each side of the vase. Leaves, flowers and branches fill some of the negative space.
Phoenix Glass Co. is located in Monaca, PA. Phoenix began production of art glass in 1932 when 45 to 50 molds from the Consolidated Glass Co. were moved to Phoenix and used until early 1936. This occurred because Consolidated Glass Co. had been forced to shut down due to the Great Depression.
This particular vase has a beautiful semi-translucent beige color with surrounding clear transparent zones. The glass pattern design is attributed to Phoenix/Consolidated. The curvy medium-sized vase is heavy with a thick glass wall. The smoothly polished opening up top measures 4 inches by 2 1/4 inches and the vase stands 6 3/8 inches tall.
This piece is in wonderful vintage condition but does have
minor flaws and factory imperfections including
irregularities to the inner glass rim of the opening from production
. There may be other antique surface wear and rub marks as photographed.
