    About the Excalibur Las Vegas:
The Excalibur is located at 3850 South Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada, on the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. It opened on June 19, 1990 on 70 acres and hosts a medieval theme throughout the property.  The popular dinner show "Tournament of Kings" (previously King Arthur's Tournament) has been a mainstay at the resort with jousting knights, jesters, and food to be eaten with your hands. The Excalibur was the largest hotel in the world with more than 4,000 rooms when it was built. Originally developed by Circus Circus, MGM Resorts International now owns the property.
    Fun Fact #1:
For many years, a wizard like figure representing Merlin the Magician looked out from a high turret in the castle and fought a dragon coming out of the moat.
    Fun Fact #2:
The land that the Excalibur sits on was originally a proposed site for the Xanadu Resort - in 1975.  The project was never built because a deal was not secured with the county on the sewer infrastructure.
    Fun Fact #3:
Much of the medieval themed decor has been removed and modernized.
    Fun Fact #4:
Today, the Excalibur is the 10th largest hotel in the world.
    Fun Fact #5:
Excalibur is the #1 purchaser of Cornish Game Hens in the US - since June 1990, approximately 6,700,000 hens have been served.
