    What is a Silver Strike?
    A Silver Strike is a Limited Edition Gaming Token which is won from a special slot machine and is in a protective plastic holder.  People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these unique gaming tokens.  The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992.  The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of , , , , , , , 0 and 0. The most common denomination is .  The older Silver Strikes have a higher silver content.  Today, most Silver Strikes are Clad, brass with heavy silver plating.
    Gold River Gambling Hall & Resort, Laughlin, NV:
    Laughlin, Nevada is located about 90 miles south of Las Vegas along the Colorado River across from Bullhead City, Arizona. The Gold River Gambling Hall opened in 1984, it was originally named Sam's Town Gold River.  Boyd Gaming operated the property until 1991.  The
    property
    has been renovated a few times, changed hands a few times and rooms have been added over the years.  Today, Nevada Restaurant Services owns the property.  It has 1000 rooms, a variety of
    restaurants, pool and beachfront access along the Colorado River.
