    About the Luxor:
A Pyramid in the desert.  The Luxor is located at 3900 South Las Vegas Boulevard in Las Vegas, Nevada- between Excalibur and Mandalay Bay.  It opened on October 15, 1993.  It currently has over 4,400 rooms.  It was built by Circus-Circus Enterprises and at 30 stores high, it was the tallest building on the strip at the time.  The family friendly resort featured the Nile River Tour and King Tut's Tomb and Museum which was a replica of King Tutankhamen's tomb as found in the Valley of the Kings near Luxor, Egypt.  The most notable and iconic part of the Luxor is the Sky Beam which is found at the peak of the pyramid.  It is the strongest beam of light in the world. The resort has been remodeled over the years and has changed with the times. Today, the property is owned my MGM Resorts International and features top entertainment and exhibits.
