Please look closely at the photos as they are part of the description.  There are photos with the case off and with the case on to show the true beauty, detail, and condition of the token.
The case is new and has never circulated through a silver strike machine. Due to age, there may be some toning.  The very last photo compares this "copper" to a regular yellow brass strike.  This strike has a small blemish in the center design side.
The Monte Carlo released Silver Strikes from 1998 - 2006.
    Copper Rim:
Silver Strikes are composed of metals in varying proportions.  The center is made of .999 fine silver  (unless it is a "Clad" or silver plated) and the outer ring is composed of yellow brass.  However, for a very short time - at the end of 2000 to mid 2001 - Global Minting made some Strikes with a
    red brass
. These are called "coppers" because of the rim color.  Typically, the "coppers" are harder to find because they were only made for a short period of time.
    About the Monte Carlo:
The casino at 3770 South Las Vegas Boulevard is now called Park MGM.  When it opened in 1996, the property was themed to feel like the Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco.  The property includes retail stores, convention facilities, a spa, fitness center, hair salon, exercise room, and pool area.  The pool area includes a wave pool and lazy river.  Lance Burton, master magician, had his own dedicated theater/showroom from 1996 - 2010. After Lance Burton, winner of America's Best Dance Crew 2008, Jabbawockeez, became the headliner.  The property was officially renovated and renamed in 2018 to coordinate with the adjacent dining and entertainment district "The Park".  "The Park" corridor leads to the T-Mobile Arena which features stadium shows and is home to the Vegas Golden Knights NHL team.  The NoMad Las Vegas is an ultra-luxury boutique hotel located on the top floors of the hotel with 300 rooms.
    Fun Fact:
The resort sits on part of the original Dunes casino and golf course site.
    Fun Fact #2:
The Park Theater seats 5,200 people and has featured Ricky Martin, Cher, and Lady Gaga.
    Fun Fact #3:
The Monte Carlo Resort was featured in films such as "Get Carter", "What Happens in Vegas", and "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story".  It was also featured in the "Amazing Race 15", and "The X-Files".
    Fun Fact #4:
The Monte Carlo Resort project was originally a joint venture between the Mirage and Gold Strike Resorts.
