    the casino closed.
Please look closely at the photos as they are part of the description.  There are photos with the case off and with the case on to show the true beauty, detail, and condition of the token.
The case is new and has never circulated through a silver strike machine. The last two photos show the token with the case on.  Due to age, there may be some toning.

    About the Silver City Casino:
The Silver City Casino was located at 3001 Las Vegas Boulevard South on the famous Las Vegas Strip.  It was across the street from the Stardust Hotel and Casino.  In 1973, the property was called the Riata Casino and closed within its first year of operation.  In 1974, Major Riddle (operator of the Dunes) took over the property and renamed it Silver City.  He also owned and operated the Silver Nugget in North Las Vegas.  Circus Circus purchased the property in 1979.  In 1991, Silver City was the first casino to ban cigarette smoking.  The ban was short lived when revenues declined.  In 1999, the property was sold again to a businessman out of San Francisco.  The new owner was unable to obtain a gaming license and the casino closed on October 31, 1999.  The casino was demolished in 2004 to make way for a shopping center.
