    What is a Silver Strike?
    A Silver Strike is a Limited Edition Gaming Token which is won from a special slot machine in a protective plastic holder.  People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these unique gaming tokens.  The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992.  The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of , , , , , , , 0 and 0. The most common denomination is .  The older silver strikes have a higher amount of silver.  As the price of silver increased, the amount of silver decreased in a silver strike.  Today, most strikes are Clad - brass with heavy silver plating.  They are
    beautiful and some are colorized.
    About the Silverton Hotel & Casino:
    Located at 3333 Blue Diamond Rd, Las Vegas, NV is the Silverton Casino Hotel.  It sits on 80 acres of land and originally opened in 1994 as Boomtown Las Vegas which had an old west theme and an RV Park.  In 1997, it was renamed the Silverton.  In 2004, Bass Pro Shop was added to the property along with many new restaurants.  The resort also has a water attraction, a 117,000 gallon aquarium that is home to thousands of tropical fish and live mermaids.
